ABOUT
WEAVERS NEST
OVERVIEW & HISTORY

Weavers Nest is a rural tourism initiative based in Molanpukhuri Village, Sonitpur, Assam, dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism that uplifts tribal communities, preserves traditional craftsmanship, and provides visitors with an authentic cultural experience. Our offerings include eco-friendly accommodations, hands-on handicraft workshops, and nature-centric activities that allow tourists to explore the rich heritage of Assam while contributing positively to the local community.
This initiative is supported by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), a premier financial institution in India that focuses on promoting sustainable and equitable agriculture, rural development, and economic empowerment in rural areas. Through its efforts, NABARD aids projects like ours that create long-term impact in rural economies. The project partner is TerraX Global Solutions based in New Delhi, India.
Mahila Shakti Kendra (MASK), a local organization, serves as the driving force behind this initiative by working with NABARD to empower women artisans, foster rural entrepreneurship, and promote traditional crafts
At Weavers Nest, we aim to create meaningful connections between visitors and the local way of life, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture, nature, and traditions of the indigenous tribes of Assam.
